Let's give it a go and get our 'PRONUNCIATION' right! Let's see, are we to try to speak like a Greek newscaster, would we be better trying 'politician' speak, maybe a north Greece accent would be better than a Cretan one, it really is confusing. Actually I only have Vrahassians to guide me so I'll stick with that, it makes communication a lot easier. "Ee-de-kanis" sounds good to me!
